Data for marketing and customer research
If you have purchased a product from us for which, for example, an upgrade becomes available that you can buy, or if an improved new version of the product is released, we will be happy to inform you by e-mail. If you do not wish to receive this type of information, you can opt out via customer service.
If you give us permission for this by checking the box at the time of checkout, we can inform you regularly with a newsletter. Every now and then, we publish new (blog) articles on developments in the field of reducing electromagnetic radiation. This could be an article about a scientific publication, news from governments, or if, for example, an interesting documentary is released. You can unsubscribe from this via the link at the bottom of the newsletter.
In order to improve our services, we may use your data (name, telephone number and e-mail) to invite you to a customer survey without obligation. This way you can help to make our products even better.
Firmware license
The Eco 100 firmware only works when installed on the router with the MAC number for which it is licensed. For this purpose, the MAC number is registered at the time of shipment, or when you send us the MAC number. The router checks for firmware updates once every 24 hours using your license key to obtain the correct firmware file. Automatic updating is a security feature that ensures that your router’s firmware is always up to date. If you do not want your router to contact our firmware update server, you can disable automatic updating by changing the setting on the JRS tab on the Wireless page of the router’s settings menu. If a firmware update is available, you can then download it yourself from your account, and manually upload it to the router.
Communication
You can contact our customer service department by telephone, via the contact form, or by sending an e-mail to info@jrseco.com. When you contact us, we will store the communication with you as long as you are a customer with us. This way we can help you faster next time by saving this data.
Storage period of personal data
We store the personal data from orders at least during the warranty period for handling returns, warranties and complaints. For products for which firmware updates are released, we store the data throughout the life cycle of the product concerned.
As long as you have an account on our website, your data will remain stored with us. You can terminate your account at any time and have the data deleted by sending a request to this effect to our customer service. As long as you are subscribed to our newsletter, we will store your e-mail address and name.
Finally, we are legally obliged to keep the data related to your order for at least 7 years for the Tax and Customs Administration.
Third parties with whom personal data may be shared
We work with an external service provider to help with several things. Personal data may be required for this purpose. We only share the data that is necessary for the assignment that the service provider performs for us. When you place an order on www.jrseco.com, your personal data will be shared with logistics partners such as Myparcel and PostNL in order to be able to handle the shipment of your orders. These parties will receive your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address in order to process the delivery and to be able to send you an e-mail with tracking information of the parcel.
We use the services of payment providers such as Sisow and Paypal to enable payments to be made. Sometimes they also need personal data to be able to verify, for example, a credit card payment.
We do not sell your data to these service providers or other third parties, and we enter into agreements with the service providers in which we determine what they are allowed to do with the data.
Sometimes we have to provide personal data to the government. This may occur if we are legally obliged to do so and certain government agencies need this information in order to perform their tasks, such as the Tax and Customs Administration.
